Who We Are

Our volunteer chaplains serve the community of Stratford-upon-Avon. The team is made up of trained and experienced volunteers from the local churches who have had previous experience of ministry and pastoral care.

We are available to anyone who wants to talk in confidence; to be a listening ear; to bring a word of comfort or encouragement, and if people wish, to pray with them. It may be just a one-off meeting or we are happy to arrange a follow-up if required, or signpost to other support.

Who Are We Here For?

We are here for local residents, people who work in Stratford, and visitors to our town.

We are available to meet during the daytime wherever there is a need; at a place of work, on the street, in a cafe or by the river.

We're a registered charity, resourced through funding, volunteers and prayer support from a range of churches in Stratford upon Avon across all denominations. The Town Centre Chaplaincy is part of Stratford Churches Together. We work in partnership with a wide range of businesses, organisations and other agencies, including Stratford upon Avon Town Council, Stratforward BID and the Police.  We are not an advice service line, but we can refer and signpost people to specialist sources of support where appropriate. All of our volunteers have previous experience in pastoral ministry or chaplaincy.
